Customized rubber plantation automation solutions: assessment first, then the right technology
Clone, tree condition, tapping system, terrain, rainfall, connectivity and local labor cost all influence which automation fits a plantation. Jinkun evaluates these conditions before recommending a technology route.
Which automatic tapping solution fits my plantation?
Different plantations need different solutions. Jinkun assesses your conditions first, then recommends tree-mounted machines, mobile tapping robots, electric tapping knives, or a combination. Equipment configuration, deployment requirements, investment and expected results are assessed project by project. An assessment may also conclude that a type of equipment is not yet suitable for your plantation.
Why can't a price simply be given?
| Factor | What it influences (tree-mounted / mobile) |
|---|---|
| Country and region | Climate, trade and service arrangements; applies to both routes |
| Clone and variety | Tapping panel and bark condition, which affect how cutting parameters are matched; both routes |
| Tree age, girth and trunk | Tree-mounted: installation and model fit (the Enhanced model is adapted to tree age, girth and terrain (product specification)). Mobile: tapping-panel detection |
| Tapping system | Operating schedule and frequency; both routes |
| Terrain | Tree-mounted: installation and zoning. Mobile: whether the robot can travel between trees |
| GNSS (satellite) signal | Mainly mobile: navigation method. Tree-mounted: no navigation needed (product specification) |
| 4G/5G coverage | Tree-mounted: how the on-site controller connects to the internet. Mobile: communication arrangement per model |
| Rainy season and wind damage | Number of effective working days and rain-protection arrangements; an official notice advises installing rain guards with a tight seal before the rainy season[5] |
| Power supply | Charging and power arrangements; both routes |
| Local labor cost | Number and configuration of machines and the economic assessment; both routes |
This table shows the direction of influence only. It is not a suitability rating or a recommendation rule.
Who does what in a project?
Jinkun is responsible for solution design and system integration and acts as the single project contact, coordinating equipment manufacturers and local partners. Equipment is sourced from different manufacturers depending on the solution; manufacturers may take part in solution design, implementation, training and after-sales on a project basis. The division of roles and responsibilities is set out in the project contract.
How does a project go from assessment to delivery?
| Step | What you receive |
|---|---|
| 1. Initial consultation | A first view on product suitability and possible technology routes |
| 2. Plantation data assessment | A preliminary equipment configuration and the questions that still need verification |
| 3. Site survey or technical pilot | Confirmation of feasibility, installation requirements and working results |
| 4. Formal commercial quotation | Equipment, deployment, communication, training, transport, taxes and after-sales costs |
| 5. Project implementation | Agreed acceptance criteria, contract, delivery and operation-and-maintenance responsibilities |
Which technology routes are available?
Electric tapping knife
Handheld power tool: 5–10 s per tree, battery life over 9 hours (product specification).
Product details →Tree-mounted machine
One machine on one tree, automatic on a preset program; no navigation needed (product specification).
Tree-mounted tapping machine →Mobile tapping robot
One robot moves among many trees. Positioned for field validation and customized plantation deployment; configuration and quotation per project (product specification).
Mobile tapping robot →Hybrid deployment
Different technologies can be used in different parts of the same plantation.
Tree-mounted vs mobile →Can an assessment conclude that a machine is not suitable?
Yes. An assessment may conclude that a certain type of equipment is not suitable for your plantation for now, or that a pilot is needed before any configuration is fixed. Jinkun acts as a system integrator that recommends what fits your conditions, not as a reseller of one machine.
Frequently asked questions
Why is there no single published price for the whole system?
Clone, tree condition, terrain, connectivity, rain, power supply and labor cost differ between plantations, so the equipment configuration and total investment are quoted per project after assessment.
Is a machine always recommended?
No. An assessment may conclude that a type of equipment is not suitable for now, or that a pilot should come first.
Can tree-mounted machines and mobile robots be combined?
Yes. Different technologies can be used in different parts of one plantation; both connect to the smart-plantation management system (product specification).
